Built with
the intention of being a small
operation, Ste. Chapelle quickly
expanded to meet consumer's demand
as the Idaho wine growing region
built its reputation. Today the
winery is owned by Constellation
Brands, Inc and is producing
approximately 155,000 cases of award
winning wine annually which are
distributed throughout the United

Koenig
Distillery & Winery

The
Koenig commitment to
quality winemaking
starts in the vineyard,
where responsible
viticulture and low
yields produce unique
opulent vintages.
Focusing on vineyard
designated wines from
sites with exceptional
micro-climates allows
wines of character and
distinction to be
bottled. The Snake River
Valley is home to a rare
combination of soil and
climate that rivals the
world’s best wine
regions. At Koenig
Vineyards, the ultimate
goal is to discover and
practice winegrowing
methods that convey the
remarkable terroir of
wines grown in this
young and exciting
viticultural
appellation.Deep in the cellar, premium varietal wines are patiently aged in small French and American oak barrels. Meticulous winemaking and a dedication to single-vineyard wines enables winemaker Greg Koenig to craft small quantities of award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Riesling, Semillon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, combining classic Burgundian and Bordelais tradition with the brilliant quality of fruit grown in this valley.
Aware of the potential
quality of brandy
distilled from fruit
grown in this area, Andy
and Greg Koenig set out
to establish a small
orchard and vineyard
near the river. Peach,
apricot, plum, pear and
cherry varieties known
for their flavor were
planted in 1995, with a
small vineyard of
Merlot, Semillon, and
Chardonnay being added a
year later. Harvest from
these plantings comprise
the majority of Koenig
brandies and wines. In
2006, the Koenig’s added
new distilling equipment
exclusively for the
production of vodka from
Idaho’s world-famous
potatoes.

Hells
Canyon Winery

Hells Canyon Winery is an
ultra premium boutique winery
located in the beautiful Snake River
Valley of Idaho. Our vineyards were
founded in 1981 making them some of
the oldest vineyards in Idaho. Our
award winning wines are produced
using grapes we grow in our
vineyards, Chardonnay, Syrah,
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and
Cabernet Franc. Total production is
about 3000 cases per year.
Hells Canyon vineyards were planted
in 1981 on the sunny slope above the
banks of the Snake River,
overlooking the Owyhee Mountains. It
is the oldest Idaho vineyard for
wine grapes and is made up of
Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon,
Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah
varietals. The elevation at the site
is 2700 feet. The protected Treasure
Valley is also influenced by marine
air flowing from the Pacific along
the Columbia and Snake rivers which
moderates the mountain climate
enough for grapes. Ancient volcanic
soils contribute to good drainage
and trace elements also allow for
deep root penetration. The big Idaho
sky is full of sun which means ripe
fruity flavors. Natural acid balance
is achieved during the cool ripening
month of September when temperature
differences between daytime and
nighttime elevate sugar levels while
maintaining the natural acids.
Hells Canyon wines are made in the
traditional manner of fermenting in
small oak barrels. Steve Robertson
trained as a chef, but realized he
could raise grapes where the
pheasants, quail, ducks and geese
roam, he sold the restaurant and
started making wine to go with the
food instead. Hells Canyon wines
reflect the character of the
geography and are always made as
food wines.

Indian Creek Winery

The winery was established in
1987, a year later than
planned, due to the vine killing
winter of 1985-1986. Brother,
Mike Stowe, and friend &
Restaurateur, Rich Ostrogorsky,
joined Bill's family to get it off
the ground. The early years
were good, with great wines and
scads of medals in wine
competitions. The most notable
was a Best Red (out of 889 red
wines) for their 1988 Pinot Noir in
the San Diego National Wine
Competition (1990).
